Hello
Professional Beliefs and Values
I am a passionate Art Specialist who thoroughly enjoys and believes in value-adding my lessons and maintaining the aesthetic and pedagogical value of my teaching materials and lessons.
I advocate for educating the school stakeholders and the community, on top of my students. I strongly believe that the aesthetic programmes not only advocates the exploration and learning of various aspects of history, geography, social emotional skills through Art but also, the integration of current social media platforms, ICT tools and many others.

As an insightful and altruistic individual, who advocates not only the education of youth but also the educator herself, I value my personal development as much as channeling my strengths, skills and abilities to make a continued difference to the Southeast Asian communities. On my own, I participated in volunteering works with IVHQ (NZ-based NGO) in Cambodia for weeks, where i taught Art to street children over in a French Non-Government Organisation (NGO) - 'Les Restaurant des Enfants'.
I actively support and participate in overseas 'Values In Action' (VIA) programmes initiated for students by my colleagues and Co-Curriculum Activities(CCA) instructors in school. These trips made improvements to the lives of poverty-stricken communities in Vietnam and Indonesia, especially the women and children.

Strengths
I have been an active team player for many artistic events and enrichment programs conducted at both secondary and primary school levels involving external agencies. Most of these programmes were planned, scaffolded and executed with my ex-colleagues. We work as a team and my core strengths are to act with good time and resources management, injection of creativity, imagination and conviction. I also act with sensitivity in order not to create advantage, rather to create balance in various aspects of my decisions. I strongly believe in enabling the cultivation of a healthy rapport with team mates, as well as both internal and external agencies.

I am most keen in the mentoring of trainee Art teachers, beginning Art specialists and new Art educators. It requires plenty of heart and emotional quotient to continue to aspire the new generation of Art educators, as well as to provide opportunities for them to widen their network and continually breathe fresh ideas. Therefore, opportunities such as what i had given myself, my students and the school community needs to be continued and improved by future educators.
